This is an action in conversion to recover the value of 26 horses alleged to belong to plaintiff and which the complaint alleges were converted by the defendant on the 16th day of August 1940.
The answer consisted of a general denial and two affirmative defenses. The first affirmative defense alleges that the horses described in the complaint did not belong to plaintiff but were the property of J. J. Galbreath and his three sons, J. W., Galen and Kenneth.
