This matter was initiated on February 1, 2007, by a petition for a writ of habeas corpus pursuant to Title 28, United States Code, Section 2241, filed by Majed Talat Hajbeh (“Hajbeh” or “petitioner”). The petition alleges violation of federal rights pertaining to petitioner’s continued detention pending removal from the United States.
