The defendant, Vincent S. Holmes, together with Leroy Edmonds, was charged with the crime of conspiracy to violate § 19-481 (a) of the General Statutes (Rev. to 1968), which penalizes anyone who illegally possesses or has under his control any quantity of a narcotic drug. On a trial to the court, the defendant was found guilty as charged and has appealed to this court.
