This is an action brought to recover the sum of $11,750 from respondents, alleged to be wrongfully detained by them.
The facts stipulated for the purposes of this trial are as follows: From the year 1883 to 1894, inclusive, personal, property taxes were assessed and levied against one Sophia M. Bristol, a resident of the state of New York, on certain credits due to her in the county of Washington, Minnesota. She died in 1894, and her will was probated in Ramsey county.
