This is a teacher nonrenewal case. The school board appeals from the trial court’s order awarding the teacher reinstatement and damages.
Leota Coats was employed by U.S.D. No. 353 in 1973 to teach in the Wellington High School Language Arts department. She had attended Parsons Junior College from 1963-65 and received her bachelor of science degree in education from Kansas State Teachers College at Emporia in 1967.
