John L. Crayton (“Crayton”), an African-American employee of the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries (“the Department”), brings these two lawsuits against his employer pursuant to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (“Title VII”), 42 U.S.C. § 2000e et seq. 1 Pointing to a variety of incidents and events, Crayton contends that he was subjected to disparate treatment on the basis of his race.
