The Wilderness Society (“TWS” or the “Society”) filed suit in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. The complaint alleges that the National Park Service (“NPS” or the “Park Service”) has chronically failed to undertake various legal obligations with respect to the identification and management of “wilderness” in the National Park System. TWS seeks judicial redress to compel the agency to take actions that allegedly have been unlawfully withheld and unreasonably delayed.…
