Michael W. Ryan, defendant in State v. Ryan, ante p. 74, 444 N.W.2d 610 (1989), was represented in the trial court by Louie M. Ligouri (applicant), an attorney in the private practice of law in Auburn, Nemaha County, Nebraska, and Richard Goos of Lincoln, Lancaster County, Nebraska. Both were court-appointed to represent defendant at the trial level in the case in which defendant was charged, in two counts, with the first degree murders of Luke Stice and James Thimm.
