BAUM, Senior Judge:

Appellant was tried by a special court-martial composed of officer members on 27 June 1979. Pursuant to his pleas of guilty entered in accordance with a pretrial agreement, appellant was convicted of a drug offense in violation of Article 92, Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), 10 U.S.C. § 892. The court members sentenced appellant to a bad-conduct discharge and no other punishment. The convening authority, who was required by the terms of the pretrial agreement to suspend the bad-conduct discharge, merely approved the sentence without suspension. The supervisory…
