Defendant-Appellant Kenneth Dale Gooch appeals his conviction and sentence for felon in possession of a firearm under 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1). Gooch’s appeal focuses primarily on the district court’s denial of his motion to suppress. He contends that the initial entry into his residence, an entry that led to the issuance of a search warrant where evidence supporting Gooch’s conviction was obtained, exceeded the bounds of the Fourth Amendment because that entry was made to execute a misdemeanor bench warrant for failure to appear in court.
