On January 15, 1930, J. B. Bankston executed a note reading as follows:
“$1165.35 Vicksburg, Miss., January 15, 1930.
“On December 1st, 1931, after date, I promise to pay to N. Vick Bobbins, or Bearer, Eleven Hundred and Sixty-Five and 35/100 Dollars in gold coin of the United States of the present standard of weight and fineness for value received, together with interest at the rate of 6 per cent per annum from maturity until paid, and 10 per cent attorney’s fees if this note be placed in the hands of an attorney for collection.
