This respondent, as executrix of the will of A. B. Correll, deceased, brought this action in her own behalf and that of the children of the testator to recover damages for the death of the testator, which was caused, it was alleged, by ini uries he received when he fell into a washout of the sidewalk on Palmetto Street in the City of Spartanburg. The allegations of negligence on the part of the city were: The general one of failing to provide reasonably safe sidewalk; in failing to promptly repair the dangerous hole in the undermined…
