On September 3,1976, the defendant Pedro Almeida was found guilty after trial in the Municipal Court of the City of Boston on two complaints: one charging him with unlawful possession of a firearm under G. L. c. 269, 110, and another charging him with possession of a firearm with the serial number defaced under G. L. c. 269, § 11C.
