Appeal from the Court of Chancery. The bill prayed that the defendants be restrained from selling on execution certain shares of stock on which the orator had a lien, and for general relief. It appeared from the bill, answer, and testimony, that, on November 9,.1876, John Q. Hoyt, of New York, who was the owner of two hundred and fifty shares of stock in the Central Vermont Railroad Company, applied to the orator, who also resided in New York, for a loan of $10,000. The contention is in regard to two hundred and fifty shares of the stock of the Central Vermont Railroad Company, formerly the property of John Q. Hoyt. The orator claims the same by purchase, and the defendant Meyer by attachment, Drew being the officer who made the» attachment, and who holds the execution in favor of Meyer against Hoyt, with directions to levy it on the stock in question.
