Augusto Martinez, Sr., hereafter defendant, was charged by indictment with the murder of George Zayas and the aggravated battery of Luciano Reviro and found guilty of those crimes by a jury in the Circuit Court of Cook County. After a hearing in aggravation and mitigation defendant was sentenced to concurrent terms of 14 years to 14 years and one day for the murder and one to five years for the aggravated battery.
