This is a writ of certiorari from a decision of the Workers’ Compensation Court of Appeals (WCCA). The WCCA affirmed the decision of the compensation judge that denied employee-relator Ann Theorin compensation benefits. The WCCA upheld the compensation judge’s ruling that employee was barred from receiving compensation under Minn.Stat. § 176.021, subd. 1 (1984), because she was intoxicated at the time of her injury and because her intoxication was the proximate cause of her injuries.
