This is a title dispute brought by the heirs of Antoine Rovira and his wife against the heirs of Houston L. Wood involving a tract of land in the Third District of the City of New Orleans. The deraignment of title is rather complex, but the issue narrows down to the effect of a Notarial Act passed before Gabriel Fernandez, Jr. dated August 1,1917, purporting to be a sale from the Third District Land Company, Ltd. to Houston L.
