The defendant, James DiSpirito, Jr., was charged with, inter alia, the offenses of driving under the influence of alcohol (DUI) and driving with a blood-alcohol concentration of greater than .10 in violation of sections 10—8—2A1 and 10—8—2A2 of the municipal code of the Village of Lincolnshire (the Village) (Lincolnshire, Ill., Municipal Code ch. 10, pars. 10—8—2(A)(1), (A)(2)). The arrest occurred after the defendant’s automobile was stopped by a Village police officer.
