The appellants were indicted and tried in the Court of General Sessions for Chesterfield County for violation of the. prohibition law.

The indictment contained four counts. The first charged the sale of spirituous liquors; the second, storing of such liquors; the third, having such liquors in possession; and, fourth, the transportation thereof. The presiding Judge; Hon. M. M. Mann, directed a verdict of not guilt}' as to both of the appellants on the first and second counts. The jury rendered a verdict of guilty as to both the…
