delivered the opinion of the court.
The plaintiff was employed at the United States Mint at Philadelphia in the capacity of “helper” at the compensation of $3 per day and had held that position for several years. *260On or about May 1,1911, he received a personal injury while in the discharge of his duties which was caused by no fault of his and which resulted in his being absent from work for several months.
