The Michigan State highway department is engaged in the construction and improvement of a State trunk line highway known as U. S. 10. This highway is also known as Woodward avenue, evidently because it is an extension of Woodward avenue, one of the principal thoroughfares of Detroit. Incident- to such construction and improvement, it will be increased to 200 feet in width and for this purpose it is necessary to acquire adjacent property. For a distance of 9.1 miles the right of way of the Detroit, Grand Haven & Milwaukee Railway Company lies adjacent to this highway. It became necessary to…
