Applying a best interests test, a divided panel of the Nebraska Court of Appeals held in this case that the separate juvenile court of Lancaster County erred in terminating its jurisdiction of a juvenile previously adjudicated for habitual truancy. After the juvenile reached the age of 16, his mother authorized discontinuance of his enrollment in school pursuant to Neb. Rev. Stat. § 79-201 (Cum. Supp. 2006).
