Appeal from a decision of the Unemployment Insurance Appeal Board, filed January 13, 2009, which, upon reconsidera*1292tion, adhered to its prior decision ruling that claimant was disqualified from receiving unemployment insurance benefits because his employment was terminated due to misconduct.

Claimant worked as a bus operator for a public transportation company. He violated the employer’s policy by leaving his proscribed route without authorization and prematurely terminating bus service before the end of his shift in order to appear in Family Court.
