This suit was begun by appellee, who filed the following complaint in the justice of the peace court in Pike County:
“That some time in the month of May, 1929, the de,fendant cut and converted to his own use 3,234 feet of pine logs from the lands of the plaintiff. That said logs so converted by the defendant are worth the sum of $30, and that the defendant has failed and refused and still fails and refuses to pay the plaintiff therefor, although payment has been repeatedly demanded of the defendant by the plaintiff.
