Hazel Tuft on her own behalf and as a class action alleges that McDonnell Douglas Corporation (McDonnell Douglas) has discriminated against women in its employment practices in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e et seq. (Supp. II, 1972). The district court dismissed the action on grounds that Ms. Tuft failed to bring her action in district court within the allowable time period of 90 days1 after she had received notice from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC or Commission) that it had failed to resolve her…
