BAZELON, Chief Judge:

Defendant was convicted of possession of narcotics with intent to distribute. The narcotics were found under the front seat of a car he and another man occupied. On appeal, the defendant challenges the legality of the search, the *356sufficiency of the evidence of possession, and claims ineffective assistance of counsel.
