The Union Pacific Railroad Company, or its predecessor, is the donee of a grant to many thousands of acres of land made by the United States in aid of building its railroad. The grant includes every odd numbered section of land between the southern and northern boundaries of Weld county, Colorado, for 20 miles on each side of the track of the railroad as it is' now maintained.
