Elvis Smith was indicted on one count of robbery by force1 and one count of kidnapping,2 based on his alleged participation in the hijacking of an automobile and the abduction of one of its occupants. Thereafter, Smith moved to suppress evidence that the victims identified him from photographic lineups and to preclude the same victims from identifying him at trial.
