12Michael Thomas appeals his conviction of manslaughter and the resulting sentence of 23 years. We affirm.

The defendant was indicted by a grand jury for violation of La.R.S. 14:30.1, second degree murder. He entered a plea of not guilty and filed several pre-trial motions, including motions to suppress the evidence, confession, and identification, which were denied after a hearing.
