The appellants filed their bill in equity in the court below, the object of which was to have declared void a lease for oil and gas purposes made by Lewis Virgin of a certain tract of land in Pleasants county, W. Va., to A. A. Michaels, dated June 21, 1898, and also to- restrain the defendants from removing and selling the oil produced from a well that had been drilled on said land.
