The appellant, Mrs. J. W. Taylor, a widow, as plaintiff in the court below, brought this suit against the appellees, Mc-Lennan County, one of the political subdivisions of the State of Texas, and the State of Texas', as defendants, for damages to approximately 120 acres of land adjacent to the southern part of the City of Waco alleged to have been caused from the taking and damaging of real property by reason of the construction of a State highway in McLennan County.
