In a trial before officer members, sitting as a general court-martial, the appellant was found guilty, contrary to his pleas, of two specifications of conspiracy to commit premeditated murder and other offenses, two specifications of violation of a general order, two specifications of premeditated murder, and one specification each of robbery, adultery, and kidnapping.2 The members sentenced the appellant to death, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and reduction to pay grade E-l.
