State v. James
Court of Appeals of North Carolina
1Opinion of the Court
STROUD, Judge.
*752 Defendant Clayton James appeals his conviction of first degree kidnapping, injury to personal property, and assault by strangulation. On appeal, defendant argues primarily that the trial court erred by denying his motion to dismiss the first degree kidnapping charge because the evidence was insufficient to submit the charge to the jury. Because there was sufficient evidence to establish each essential element of the charge, the trial court did not err in denying defendant's motion.
