Mary Ann Turley, appellee herein, filed her bill in equity against the John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company and the National Works Welfare Association praying for a decree that the defendants pay the sum of $1,000 with interest under a certain life in surance policy upon the life of her husband, Daniel J. Turley. A joint answer was filed by the defendants and a rule for decree for want of a sufficient answer was issued. On this rule a decree was entered directing defendants to pay said amount, from which decree this appeal is taken.
