I. INTRODUCTION

By Order of January 17, 2003, the United States Small Business Administration (“SBA”) was appointed Receiver for Acorn Technology Fund, L.P. The Receiver was appointed for the purpose of continuing the operations of the limited partnership, including without limitation: managing its portfolio, of investments; satisfying the claims of creditors and the sale of assets in the ordinary course of business; and defending and pursuing claims and causes of actions available to it.
