The plaintiff in his complaint alleges that, while in the employ of the defendant, he inhaled foreign substances in the form of dust, and, as a result, contracted a disease of the lungs known as pneumoconiosis. In various forms and in separate and distinct causes of action the complaint alleges that the plaintiff’s exposure to such a risk constituted the breach of a duty which the defendant, as employer, owed to the plaintiff as employee.
