The offense is theft of cattle; the punishment, confinement in the penitentiary for two years.
About the 8th of May, 1937, some one stole a calf belonging to Theo. Dunman. Upon being arrested, appellant made a confession in which he stated that he had committed the theft and had sold the Dunman calf to M. E. Hafner. At the time appellant made this statement the stolen animal had not been discovered, either by the owner or by the officers.
