This is an action for damages for the death of the plaintiff’s decedent in a motor vehicle accident at a country road intersection.

The accident occurred between 1 and 1:30 p.m. on August 2, 1963, at a country road intersection located south and east of Hartington, Cedar- County, Nebraska. The weather was clear and the roads were dry. There were no stop signs at the intersection. There was a cornfield southeast of the intersection.
