OPINION

TAURO, District Judge.

Petitioner was convicted in 1976 by a Massachusetts Superior Court jury of armed assault in a dwelling house, 1 and received a sentence of from eighteen to twenty years. The conviction was affirmed by the Massachusetts Appeals Court, and a petition for further review was denied by the Supreme Judicial Court.
