1Opinion of the Court
CHEN, Circuit Judge.
Inventor Holdings, LLC (IH) sued Bed Bath & Beyond, Inc. (BBB) for infringement of U.S. Patent No. 6,381,582 (the ’582 patent) in April 2014. The Supreme Court issued its decision in Alice Corp. v. CLS Bank International in June 2014. — U.S. -, 134 S.Ct. 2347, 189 L.Ed.2d 296 (2014). BBB thereafter moved for judgment on the pleadings, contending that Alice rendered the asserted claims of the ’582 patent invalid under 35 U.S.C. § 101. The district court granted BBB’s § 101 motion.
