TENNEY, District Judge.
This case is before the court on several motions arising out of a trial which concluded in a jury verdict and award of damages in favor of plaintiff in the amount of $1,140,000. Defendant has renewed its motion for a directed verdict, which it made at the close of plaintiff’s case, and has moved to set aside the verdict and for a new trial on several grounds. For the reasons set forth below, defendant’s motions are denied, except to the extent that they seek a new trial based on the size of the damage award.
