—Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the County Court, Nassau County (Kowtna, J.), rendered May 6, 1998, convicting him of arson in the second degree and criminal contempt in the first degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence.

Ordered that the judgment is affirmed.

The defendant contends that the People’s fire investigation expert improperly testified as to the cause of the fire at the complainant’s home, thereby leading the jury to the conclusion that the fire was set intentionally.
