After a jury trial, defendant Winfred Oliver was found guilty of two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and was sentenced to two consecutive 50-year terms of imprisonment. On direct appeal, we affirmed defendant’s conviction, vacated the imposition of consecutive sentences, finding that the trial court did not make a determination as to whether defendant’s actions constituted a single course of conduct before imposing mandatory consecutive sentences, and remanded the case for resentencing.
