Appellants James Appleton and Derrick Ford were charged with various crimes related to the shooting of complainant, John Slade. At the conclusion of a jury trial, Appleton was found guilty of assault with intent to kill while armed (“AWIKWA”), ■ assault with intent to rob while armed (“AWIRWA”), aggravated assault while armed (“AAWA”), and three counts of possession of a firearm during a crime of violence (“PFCV”).
