The petitioner, Matthew Weathers, appeals from the judgment of the habeas court denying his amended petition for a writ of habeas corpus. The petitioner claims that the habeas court improperly failed to conclude that his trial counsel rendered ineffective assistance. We affirm the judgment of the habeas court.

The following procedural history is relevant to our resolution of the present appeal. On July 16, 2004, the petitioner was arrested and charged under docket number CR-04-194735-S with criminal mischief and possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle. The court set bond at $75,000,…
