Two questions are presented: Was the marriage -between plaintiff and defendant valid, and, if so, has defendant treated plaintiff in a cruel and inhuman manner? In -her complaint plaintiff alleges marriage and eruel treatment. Defendant in his answer admits the marriage and -denies such treatment, and also, as' a separate defense, alleges that -at the time of the marriage plaintiff had a husband living and that her marriage to him was then in force.
