The principal issue in this case is the validity of the trial court’s correction of the defendant’s sentence. The defendant Vincent Louis Pina was tried to a jury and convicted of the crime of robbery in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-134. After denial of his motion to have the verdict set aside, the defendant was, on June 30, 1978, sentenced to a term of not less than ten nor more than twenty years.
