OPINION

ONION, Presiding Judge.

This is an application for writ of habeas corpus filed pursuant to Article 11.07, V.A. C.C.P.

Petitioner is presently serving a life sentence for a conviction in Cause No. 74-CR-2636, from the 186th District Court of Be-xar County, for thé offense of burglary of a habitation, with two prior convictions alleged and proved for enhancement under V.T.C.A., Penal Code, § 12.42(d). Petitioner was formally sentenced to a mandatory life term of imprisonment as an habitual criminal in this case on December 18,1975, and a direct appeal resulted from a conviction being…
