MEMORANDUM OPINION

STEGER, District Judge.

This is a suit in admiralty in which the Plaintiff, Hudson Waterways Corporation, seeks indemnity and/or contribution from the Defendant, Coastal Marine Service, Inc., for moneys paid by the Plaintiff in settlement of a claim filed by an injured seaman who was in the Plaintiff’s employment.

In June of 1972, the Defendant was engaged in repair work aboard the SS TRANS-HURON, a vessel owned and operated by the Plaintiff. This repair work was being done at the Defendant’s shipyard located on the Neches River near Port Neches, Texas. The SS TRANSHURON was…
