On May 10, 1991, plaintiff Arthur Merritt, Jr. (hereinafter *860plaintiff) was injured in the course of his employment when he fell from the top of a four-foot-high fixed metal bulkhead of the flatbed trailer attached to his truck while unloading sheetrock.
